Motorola fans if you are wondering where has been Motorola been when so many touch phones where being introduced. Motorola cleared everyone’s doubt and gave all the answers when it announced its first ever touch phone – Motorola ROKR ZN50.
As it was Moto’s first touch phone, they have made ROKR ZN50 to stay in the market as long as possible and compete. Hence the phone is loaded with features and cool design (though it looks quite similar to Nokia XpreeMusic series).
For starters ROKR ZN50 has a 3.2-inch 256K TFT touchscreen (256K colors) with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 240 x 427 pixels. The phone measures around 108.9 x 54 x 14.3 mm in dimension and 143 g in weight. Though the phone does not run Android OS, it is still considered to be one the best.
Moto ROKR ZN50 has a built-in equalizer, SRS WOW HD technology and also a 3.5 mm audio jack for headphones. ZN50 runs on a 950 mAh battery (pretty small for a touch phone) which gives upto 30hr music play , non stop. The built-in microSD card slot with support for up to 16GB memory cards makes sure that you will have enough room for all your favorite tracks.
ROKR ZN50 is integrated with a 3.15 MegaPixel with 2048×1536 pixels and autofocus. A secondary VGA camera is also integrated for video recording and video calling.
The best feature of Motorola ROKR ZN50 is T-DMB2 TV tuner which allows the user to use the device as a pocket TV set. Also the phone is being introduced only in black colour at present. The only thing that confuses me at present is why is Motorola making the debut of ROKR ZN50 only in Korea. We reckon, the ROKR ZN50 will be introduced in the United States by Q4 of 2009. Lets see what happens as time passes.
