Today on Sept 4th 2006, Nokia has finally announced the launch of its latest fashion phone and the upgraded model of Nokia 8800 - Nokia 8800 Sirocco. The phone has been launched but it will hit the market some time in mid - September. The phone is totally upgraded. In my opinion except the size, shape and its old name (8800), nothing else is same (that is what I mean by totally upgraded). Nokia 8800 Sirocco will be the icon phone in the fashion world.

Starting from the display of the 8800 Sirocco, it is made up of scratch resistant glass. Internally memory of the phone is also increased before it was 64MB and now it is 128Mb and a new feature in this is that Sirocco consists of a card slot of miniSD card. The connectivity of the phoe is same as 8800, it has got GPRS, HDSCD, Wi-Fi (WLAN), Bluetooth and USB port. Here’s another upgraded and and excellent feature, 8800 Sirocco is integrated with 2MP camera with video with resolution 1600×1200 pixels (8800 had a SVGA camera with resolution 800×600 pixels). As the phone is totally upgraded and has loads of features, the talk time is a liitle bit decreased which is arouud 2h 45min (8800 had 3h). The phone is expected to retail around US $1069 (approx 832 Euros). Also the phone will be available in two colours - Silver and Black.
