FCC has finally approved long awaiting O2 XDA Stealth. As soon it was approved O2 told the press that “O2 XDA Stealth” will be made available by the end of September 2006. XDA Stealth does not look like a PDA, it actually looks like the Samsung’s upcoming models (I felt this when I first saw it). But the truth it is a PDA and an awesome slider one too. Stealth is said to be a reincarnation of the Gigabyte g-Smart with 192MB.

O2 XDA Stealth works on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 with the help of Intel XScale PXA 272 416MHz processor. The PDA is tri-band with GSM networks and GPRS. The size of the TFT touchcreen (65k colours) is 240 x 320 pixels and also the phone consists of handwriting recognition software. It is around 22.3 mm thick. Its size in dimension is 110 x 53 x 22.5 mm and weighs around 140g. The phone has got 64 MB RAM, 192 MB ROM as its internal memory which can expanded with help of card slot (miniSD). The connectivity of the phone can be used through WLAN (Wi-fi), Bluetooth, Infrared and USB. Camera of 2MP with video and flash has been fixed on the back side of the phone. There are some additional features of the phone like Pocket Office(Word, Excel, Outlook, Media Player), Java MIDP 2.0, Video/audio album, T9, Built-in handsfree and Voice dial. The phone will be avalilabe in Silver and Black colours. The price of the PDA is not known yet (if you come to know please let me know).
