Sony Ericsson K850

Â
The K850 is the latest great addition to the present market which has a massive array of different mobile phones.Sony Ericsson has at last come out with a phone with a brilliant 5-megapixel autofocus camera and an in built xenon flash. From our point of view we think that Cyber-Shot K850 can pretty well outdo the Nokia N95 at present depending upon the prototype test it went under.
Having a 240×320 pixels,2.2 inch with TFT and 256K colour screen it will give you a good display capabilities.Although I was hoping for a 16M color from K850 which by the way N95 DOES have. The N95 also has a bigger and better dislay. K850 supports polyphonic and MP3 ringtones which will definetly not go unheard. Now the great improvement in K850 is that it accepts both the memory stick micro and microSD card types.Although it does not have an infra -red port(which is hardly used nowadays) and the WLAN option it however does have Class 10 GPRS,HSCSD(High Speed Circuit Switched Data: dedicated circuit-switched data communications technology for GSM which boosts data output up to 14.4 Kbps ),EDGE Technology, bluetooth and v2.0 USB port. The Camera provides the following features 5 MP, 2592×1944 pixels, autofocus, video(QVGA@30fps), xenon flash and 3LED video light; auto lens cover, secondary videocall camera. The Sony Ericsson K850 does not have the mechanical lens cover anymore as the company has now dropped that system of lens mechanism. They now have incorporated an automatic lens cover with a special on/off button which is dedicated to this purpose solely. Now the catch is that the lens is now protected with a layer of thin clear plastic which can get smudged due to fingerprints but it still does protect the lens thus making it last longer than the average lens used in all the other standard cellphones.
Beyond the camera, the K850 is a capable multimedia phone. The new media browser puts all of your stored media, whether photos, video, music or podcasts, in one place offering you a unique Sony Ericsson media experienceThe last feature, probably also one of the most interesting and innovative ones, is the battery compartment on the K850i. Unlike most mobile phones where changing the power cell involves removing a cover, this Cyber-shot sports a slide-out door that allows access to the battery and the SIM card slot. This feature may be common on standalone digital cameras, but it’s definitely a first we’re seeing on a camera-phone.The K850 has a slick and snazy gloss finish front with tiny numeric pad and call/end buttons. The diretional pad is now wrapped around the 2 and 5 button with a great neon-like lighting which runs along the outer width of the phone too.As to how all this will affect daily usage, we can only find out after a full review. So I wouldn’t comment on that right now.The Sony Ericsson K850i will be available in Luminous Green and Velvet Blue. The pricing unfortunately hasn’t been released yet.
With this cellphone you will definitely be the envy of everyone you know. With the kind of mobile phones Sony Ericsson is coming up with now they could definitely give Nokia a run for their money. A beauty and a brilliance in itself it’s a piece worth getting your hands-on.
