Sony Ericsson’s most awaited PDA is finally in the markets. 990 has a got everything a person needs to have in its PDA and a lot more. I reckon that was the main reason that it so much awaited in the markets, just because for its extraordinary features.
Sony Ericsson’s P990 is full of advantages, some of them are the following: This quadband phone works on Symbian OS v9.1 UIQ 3.0 which has got WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML (Opera 8.0), RSS reader as its browser. The TFT touchscreen is quite large which is around 2.76″. The phone can be operated by two ways, one is by QWERTY keyboard and the other is by touchscreen. The phone has also got handwriting recognition software. All the office applications are present in it. P990 is integrated with 2MP camera with autofocus, flash and video. There is a second VGA camera integrated for video calling. The connectivity of the phone can be used through GPRS, HDCSD, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared and USB. The phone also consists FM Radio with RDS. The PDA plays nearly all formats of songs, some of them are mp3, aac, etc.
There are some disadvantages of the phone too ( everything is not perfect ). The disadvantages are as follows: P990 is not compatible with the older version of Symabian, does not support EDGE, records video with QVGA resolution, show is not clearly visible under sunlight and the most vital thing is that the user interferance is not always user-friendly.
 All The Features are same for P990i and P990c as well.
