I bought this phone just a few days back and I was very eager to write about it. First thing I would like to tell all you people who want to but this phone that this is a awesome phone and if you buy it you wont regret that’s my gauranttee. The phone is loaded with features and I just can’t think from where to start.

I will start with start up. When u start the phone you will get a menu in which there are two option i.e. Phone Start-Up and Music Only. Music Only is an excellent option, in this the user can listen to music without having a sim card, whcih is really very useful when travelling in planes where it is not allowed to switch-on the mobile phone.  Phone Start-up switches on the phone and u can start working on it like u work on the other mobile phones. Once the phone is switched-on even then the user can listen to songs through the Walkman option. There is also FM radio.

The songs can be heard through either the built-in speaker or through the stereo headphones. Here comes the first and last drawback of the phone i.e. the sound quality of the songs can be heard much better through the headphones than compared to the speaker. The headphones consists of built-in bass system (I think that’s why the sound quality is better). W700i plays almost formats of songs but I listen to only mp3 format as the sound quality is good in that format. There is button on the left side of the phone which enables the user to play pause the songs.  

A 4x 2MP camera with flash and high quality video has been integrated. A slide at the top of the camera has been integrated to cover the lens from getting scratches. One more advantage of the slide is that when it is opened the camera automatically get started (even if the keypads are locked) and when it is closed the camera also shuts down. The camera has also got some good features; some are Burst Mode (which can clicks upto 4 images in appoximately 1 second ), 7 second self timer, Picture Effects (the image can be clicked in Black&White colour, Negative Format[like one you get in a camera with roll], Sepia and Solarize), White Balance (camera can be adjusted according to the environment weather it cloudy, daylight etc.), Time and Date, etc,etc…

Well you can say that Sony Ericsson W700i is a Walkman phone with a excellent 2MP camera… The rest of the basic features you will come to know through the technical specification.
